Coming Out of Retirement

Well, I know I said on my last post that I wouldn’t link to Randy’s toilet bowl of a blog anymore, but I honestly can’t take any more of his posts.  I guess I shouldn’t say “his posts”, because he’s too lazy to write his own posts so he just has “guest bloggers” write on his behalf.  I will admit that I don’t have nearly the amount of time that Randy does to go to meetings or harass elected officials, but I will do my best to keep up with what is going on in the city.

I don’t have much to say about the state of the city address, but I will say that I’m happy with the way things are going.  Higher paying jobs, less deadbeat landlords, less trash pile vehicles, no Wal-Mart, and higher rent all sound like good ideas to me.  Unless I’m missing something, I think we’re heading in the right direction.  The only thing I’m dissapointed in is the fact that the empty condo building across from the library is going to turn into apartments.  I live right across the street and personally I think if it is not going to be condos, they should implode it like a Vegas casino.  I’d rather see empty land out my front window than more apartments.

I’d like to hear feedback from some Hollenbeck supporters.  Go ahead and post some comments.  I won’t censor them like your pal Randy does.
