An astute reader clued me in to the fact that AM 1130 WISN morning host Jay Weber, while purporting not to take sides on either Wal-Mart-related recall in Muskego or Cudahy, proceeded to call Mayor Ryan McCue an “obstinate jerk” and recited the tired anti-McCue talking points of Ryan’s supposed personal dislike for Wal-Mart being his motivation for casting the deciding vote against the last proposal. Of course, three other Plan Commission members also voted against the plan and Mayor McCue had an EQUAL vote just like the other six members. Although, he did technically vote last, his vote was NOT contingent on there being a tie when it came to him (he would have voted anyway), but of course, that’s not as good of a story. Hence, the great Deciding Vote myth was created.
